MOTIVATE Course 2: History Taking, Diagnosing, and Treatment of MOH

Duration: 30 minutes
Taking a proper history plays a big part in diagnosing headache. Physical examination and laboratory testing only rarely offer diagnostic clues. Using a simulated case study, recall the process of detailed history taking to elicit a comprehensive headache history. Also. learn the different treatment modalities of MOH.
Learning objectives:
Upon completing this course, participants will be able to:
- outline the process of detailed history taking to elicit a comprehensive headache history and be able to identify any secondary headaches that should be further investigated
- explain the different treatment modalities of MOH
- differentiate the pros and cons of outpatient versus inpatient withdrawal therapy
- create a checklist to serve as reminder of the different side effects associated with prophylactic medications.
